What is a "Video Profile"?
A video profile is a short documentary-style video that showcases your business or service. While each Video Profile is unique, we have a nice formula of 60 Minutes-style interviews, footage of the business in action, interviews with clients, and graphics that give visitors to your site a real feel for why people choose to do business with you. How long will it take to shoot my Video Profile?
After our initial phone interview, we will schedule one or possibly two shoots at your location. Your interview should take no more than an hour of your time and then our cameras will shoot your business, or service in action for several more hours. We do a great job of not interfering with your business while at the same time capturing the essence of what makes your business so special.
I'm not sure what I'd say in an interview. Will you help me with that?
Absolutely! That's another of our specialties. We will give you a short list of questions in advance of your interview so you can collect your thoughts into concise answers. During the shoot, we'll coach you along and be sure that you come across the way you want your viewers to see you. We have a lot of tape and plenty of time so we can "cut" at any point and start over.
Do you shoot in High Definition (HD)?
We do. HD is important to many of our clients and our cameras shoot in both High Def as well as Standard Def. We can shoot in a "widescreen" or standard format as well. These decisions we will also talk you through so don't worry if you're not sure which is better.
I don't know if I'm comfortable in front of the camera. Is that okay?
Of course it's okay... in fact it's expected. Most people haven't spent much time in front of the camera and we understand that people get nervous when the lens is pointed their way. We pride ourselves on making the entire experience enjoyable and we do a great job of making people comfortable in front of the camera.
Can you help me add or embed video on my own site?
Yes, yes, yes. We'll work with your web master to be sure they get the video in whatever format they prefer. You can also hire us to add the video to your site directly and we can make sure it blends nicely with your website. Whether it's embedded in a page that already exists or a new page is created just for your video, we can do it!
What are the steps involved in creating a Video Profile?
The first step if obviously to get in touch with us. You get to interview us and let us answer all of your questions and make sure you feel confident in our abilities. The next step will be for us to interview you. That can happen by phone or in person depending on your location. After our initial interview, we'll develop a plan and a schedule. We'll come to your location and shoot your interview in one day, and possibly come back for a second shoot if needed. Then, it's back to the studio to edit your video into a 3 minute long video ready for web playback. After you approve the final version, we'll get it up on your site and then announce it to all of your clients & friends.
What kind of cameras do you shoot with?
We use Panasonic and Sony cams but our primary cameras are Canons. We've been most pleased with our Canon XHA1's and bring them to most of our shoots
